Welcome To The New SJC Homepage

The Servants Of Jesus The Carpenter (SJC) is a lay ministry of St. Paul The Apostle Catholic Church in Pocahontas, Arkansas. Our mission is to share the Love of Jesus Christ utilizing our gifts and talents to help those in need with habitat issues who for various reasons are not able to help themselves. SJC is composed entirely
of volunteers who love the Lord Jesus Christ and his church and is completely supported by donations from our sponsers.

We Are A Catholic Ministry Demonstrating The Love Of Jesus Christ To Our World.

"Every house is built by someone but Almighty God is the builder of everything."

Hebrews 3:4

Our History:

Servants Of Jesus The Carpenter was founded in early 2007. It all started when a carpenter saw a desperate need concerning the home of a handicaped girl. The carpenter told a parishoner the story. The parishoner then made numerous phone calls and met with other parishoners. To the carpenters surprise, one phone call was made to him to let him know that several parishoners were going to meet to form a new mininstry and the home of the handicaped girl was the first priority. Several of the parishoners of the local parish then volunteered to begin the new ministry and the rest is now history!
We now have close to 100 volunteers who give of their personal time to use their talents and abilities to help share God's love within our community.
